In 2010, Pam McCaskey had a vision to create a welcoming and nurturing place in Santa Barbara, CA that emphasized holistic health. With a lifelong passion for health and fitness, Pam studied the benefits of Pink Himalayan Salt and convinced her geologist husband, Mike McCaskey, to import over 60 tons of pink crystalline salt from the famous Khewra Salt Mine in Pakistan. Together they created the largest Salt Caves in North America and opened the doors in 2012. In addition to their cave sessions, the business has evolved to provide specialized health classes and spa treatments. Pam also created a full line of exclusive body products that are made in Santa Barbara and enjoyed by people all around the world.
After a trip to Vermont, I had a vision to bring a health and holistic business to Santa Barbara that emphasized wellness in a place with a nurturing environment. That vision was inspired by visiting a Country Inn tea room and meditation shop that had a salt room.
